I loved this short story! It had my heart in a twist! It reminded me you to always, always, have to watch the decisions you make, because they always effect people in your life, whether you realize it not! This story shows the awful affects that’s decisions and drugs have on everyone’s life

G Edward Martin is this generations short story master. For me the core of a short story is the thought provoking nature. Martin creates tales that are engaging on an entertaining level as well as a philosophical one. I would place any of his stories along side Poe, Hawthorne, or Faulkner.

My old house is a cautionary tale on the surface but on the deeper level it brings up questions of human fragility in a physical, psychological, and spiritual way.

amazing story

The audiobook of the novelette, My Old Street, within this collection of short stories was provided to me by the author. My review...

A short story, with a short review, but a LARGE emotional response. Yet again the author pulls at my heart strings and causes me to pause and think. Martin's writings evoke a stirring in one's innermost thoughts and feelings.

A story about family, young people, the war on drugs, the importance of communicating with our loved ones as well as a higher power.

A powerful message with a powerful punch. Well worth the listen.

I recommend reading any work by G. Edward Martin.
