What if the most terrifying person you know is your 10-year-old sister?

Seventeen-year-old Aussie Che Taylor loves his younger sister Rosa. But he's also certain that she's a diagnosable psychopath - clinically, threateningly, dangerously. Recently Rosa has been making trouble, hurting things. Che is the only one who knows; he's the only one his sister trusts. Rosa is smart, talented, pretty, and very good at hiding what she is and the violence she's capable of. Their parents, whose business takes the family from place to place, brush off the warning signs as Rosa's "acting out". Now that they have moved again - from Bangkok to New York City - their new hometown provides far too many opportunities for Rosa to play her increasingly complex and disturbing games. Alone, Che must balance his desire to protect Rosa from the world with the desperate need to protect the world from her.

I loved this book!!! Of course, it's dark but so good. I was offered it as included because I'd listening to We Need To Talk About Kevin, which was also darkly great, but this one is better! And not as tediously annoying (but the ending is well worth it). Yeh other reviewers maybe just don't get it. And to call it a "coming of age" story is so off the mark. Great characters, good and evil. Suspense, surprise, definitely recommend this one.

What a find!

This book is so good! Scary and real! I can’t even imagine how many Rosas are out there and we don’t know about them. Great read, the narrator was amazing!

I thought part of this book was meant for adolescent & teen readers. Those parts dragged out a little bit for me. However the psychological aspects were very adult, and VERY disturbing. The ending left us hanging a bit, but all in all, it was the best free book I’ve had for a long time!

Graranteed to Cringe!

I finished this in a day. Very slow burn. Well written and executed. The author conveyed just the right amount of obliviousness or despair in our hero at any given moment.

Wow
