If you love Liverpool FC you will love everything about the captain we love. Narration was spot on to Stevie and felt as if he was the one narrating.

The story bounces back between his struggles of Liverpool FC and his struggles with International duty. The main plot of his biography is the amazing 2013-2014 season with Liverpool FC, with flashbacks of his best games in between with the main plot.

I highly recommend this book to any open hearted football fan about one of the greatest footballers of all time

Ohhhh, ya beautyyy!!

Wow. Just finished this audiobook and I am nearly at a loss for words. Been a Liverpool supporter for over a dozen years, and this book taps directly into all the emotions over that period of time. The elations of Istanbul to the slip against Chelsea. Stevie truly has an incredible story to match his incredible career. This is a MUST for any Liverpool fan and any soccer/football fan for that matter.

As for the narration, it's well done. He nearly sounds like Gerrard is reading the book himself! There were a few patches where the cadence of each sentence was too similar and you can drift, but it's a small gripe for an overall great performance.

A look inside the mind of this Liverpool legend

I grew up in being a football fan. I watched as much football as I could, but I moved to the States I missed out on European football for 10 plus years. I missed Gerard, Zlatan and Messi's rise to the top of European football.
for me it is like catching up with Liverpool and Gerard in those 20 years.
I appreciate that the narrator is scouser! it was a nice touch and for first few minutes I thought it was Stevey G himself! :)
the narrator sounded emotional in some sections and I kept forgetting he is not Gerard!
great job and loved the story.
