Enjoyable action fantasy

I enjoyed this book. Took some initial adjustment to the narrator (more used to a male narrator for action fantasy with a fair amount of violence). I did adjust, though, and listened to the full audiobook in just a few days.

Death is not the end

She died doing want she loved, and was brought back to complete a task. I loved that even though she was undead she was able to keep part of her humanity. I also loved how much she cared for her family and her men.

Mid at best

OP MC bored me to tears while providing no tension or drama bc the outcome is always assured.

I do not recommend this book or series.

slow burn..decay

started out strong in the first book, but then arbitrary excuses pushing avoidable plots began to surface and the story plummeted to the end.
