In this challenging and entertaining audio program, internationally recognized Jungian teacher and theorist James Hillman, Ph.D., presents the themes he writes about in his well-known book, The Soul's Code. The fantasy of the family remains the dominating theme of psychotherapy and psychotheory. In this recording, Dr. Hillman brings his critical eye, his wide eye - and often his absurd humor - to bear upon the myths that operate in our thoughts about family.

Really interesting takes on family, community, self-absorption vs. political existence. Recording wasn’t great and I had to turn the volume up high just to hear sometimes, but the content made it worth it. For fans of depth psychology this book is illuminating.

Eye-opening

This is great. Every bit as relevant today as it was in 1990. He was a brilliant man. I highly recommend. It’ll give you new ways to think, especially if you’re stuck in the child myth.

Retains relevance !

I love the idea of including self as the internalization of community! Great fun listening.
