God the Creator of the universe with everything in it decided to save humanity by allowing His only Begotten Son to come on earth to teach humanity the way of their salvation.
Jesus Christ, the Son of God taught humanity how to pray, how to repent, and how to reconcile with God their Father in order to obtain salvation of their souls. Jesus Christ founded and established a church and a religion for them to follow in order to live in prayer and obedience of God’s commandments in order to obtain salvation of their souls.
Jesus Christ preached God’s commandments and their requirements throughout his life on earth. Those who opposed his teachings and principles crucified him on the cross.
When Jesus Christ died on the cross, he left a divided people on religion and teachings that today divide communities into different faiths and religions based in the name of Jesus Christ.
Jesus Christ confirmed that he had not come to make peace on earth about belief in faith and religion (Matthew 10:34-36). He again confirmed that families and nations would cause war against one another because of their division about their beliefs (Luke 12:49-53).
The fact is that Jesus Christ left only “one faith and one religion (belief) on earth.” However, humans divided themselves about belief and religion preached by Jesus Christ. God knew that a world without opposition would be a dull world. God knew that some kind of opposition would keep the world on its toes against sinking into limbo.
Faith and one’s religion are individual’s responsibilities in life. How to pray your God and how to honor your God, is your personal responsibility in life. Not even parents can force their children to pray and honor their God. You cannot force your children when they are mature to follow a certain religion or faith. It is only by God’s grace that our children follow us in our faith that we consider the “right faith and religion.”
Therefore, never assume the knowledge of your faith.
Jesus Christ left the sacraments, which some people ignore to confuse masses that follow them blindly. This book is for those of our Catholic Christians who find themselves unable to confront the “opposers in Catholic faith and religion” concerning the sacraments of the Catholic Christians and their Church.
Such Protestant Christians never believe in confession of sin because they believe in “I am only accountable to my moral conscience and my God.” Protestants feel ashamed to kneel before a “confessor” who they regard as a simple human being despite the authority bestowed upon (Peter) the head of the Catholic Church and apostles who inherited the Universal Church founded by Jesus Christ himself.
On the other hand, Catholic Christians surrender their total personalities for the forgiveness of their sins in order to save their souls. They readily acknowledge “Confession or sacrament of penance as a celebration for the communion with God after confession of their sins. They know that making peace with God after confessing their sins is a celebration of joy and bliss.
The Protestants protest confession because they claim that they cannot confess before another human being. They believe in their conscience and their God only. They never believe in the power of the forgiveness of sins that Jesus Christ overshadowed and conferred upon his apostles on earth. In this book, we have explained the meaning of Catholic Sacraments and their applications in everyday life of Catholic Christians.
