On the other side of town, a young girl in *Nocturnal, goes through her days as if in a dream. She doesn’t know how she is aware of this, but her life is like some sort of script, a construct where all the people closest to her are playing bit parts. She gradually realizes that she is in some sort of danger, and there might be no one in her life whom she can trust. The connection between Paige and this young woman is not immediately clear, but one thing is certain: They must BOTH put together the pieces of their share of this deadly puzzle if they want to stay alive.

Readers of BLOODPACT, another title by this author -- Valda de Dieu -- will enjoy seeing again Maddie, the Female Police chief of the (invented) SBPD, i.e. South Beach Police Department. The notorious SBPD also appears in the Raising Hell Series (Horror genre) by Jasper Ace, another pen name for Valda de Dieu.
