Even if it's not your eventual goal to become a professional bodybuilder, and you'd just like to find a way to trim a little fat around the edges, there's a lot that can be taken from professionals that have been there before you. Not only does building muscle burns calories even more effectively than cardiovascular work, but even more extra fuel gets burned during the muscular recovery process. Plus, you'll look a lot stronger as an added benefit. German Volume Training is a bit different from what typical fitness schools will teach people. It takes time to complete a full routine, and it can get very difficult near the end, but then nothing that's worthwhile is every easy. No one that has ever taken a routine like this one seriously has ever regretted it. The reason why it takes a while is because of the sheer volume of repetition. For any given muscle group, you're going to be completing 10 sets of 10 reps, with no more than 60 seconds worth of rest in between them. Only then are you allowed to move on to the next exercise. To compensate, you're going to have to use less weight than you're used to. The first few sets are going to seem quite easy, but this is the marathon race of bodybuilding. After the seventh or eighth set, you're going to really be burning. If you come just shy of finishing the final set before you simply can't pick that weight up again, then you have chosen your level of resistance well. Once you're able to complete 10 sets of 10, using that weight, you'll obviously need to make it a bit more challenging next time around. Pick up my book to get more tips.
