As a romance novelist, I'm facing my worst nightmare - writer's block. No matter what I write, I hit delete, knowing it's not worth publishing. The future of my career rests on the success of this new book.

So, here I am, looking at Tumblr, desperate for inspiration, when I hear a thumping. Annoyed by the music blaring through the walls, I barge into the hall and bang on my neighbor's door.

My very hot, very naughty neighbor, Jake Morreau.

Jake is romantic, charming, and the bane of my existence. I need to work, yet he refuses to let me. When he greets me in the hallway, ideas of a sinfully hot hero come to mind. When he takes me out on the town, the words flow as soon as I come home. The more time I spend with this entertaining and quick-witted man, the more I'm able to write.

My neighbor is my muse, and before I know it, I slowly become the heroine of my own story, but I don't know how to end it. As I write the epilogue, I'm afraid our romance won't pan out as I've written.

Jake Morreau is my hero. Then again, in my life, heroes don't exist.

Contains mature themes.

This story was so different than the “young CEO” and similar plots. Such a good read!

Realistic story line

This book had me until Jake drops the L word 3 days into dating and gets all pissed off that she won’t say it back. In real life, that would be one hell of a red flag.

Narrator lacked inflection and humanity.

Seriously?

While overall I did enjoy this book, there were some spots that were kind of slow. Also, Laci's character was annoying at times.

Good story!

At first, just from reading the about, I didn’t think I’d like it, but was tired of looking for a book. I’m so glad I chose to listen to it after all. Jake had me from the beginning and towards the end, I was kind of mad at Lacy because of her saying he left her and so on and so forth. I was literally yelling that it was her fault. I couldn’t stop listening to this book. It’s instantly became a favorite.

Better than I thought.

Story well paced and different. The female narrator doesn’t convey the story well, and intonation is off. Sadly, hard to get through. I put the play on 1.2x and was more tolerable.

Story great, female narrator is irritating
