Elizabeth Bennet thought she was prepared to do anything to make the Dragon Conclave accept her beloved young dragon, Pemberley, into the Blue Order, but she had not anticipated it would leave her banished from her ancestral home and betrothed to none other than Mr. Darcy. But before Elizabeth and Darcy wed, they must find a dangerous rogue dragon before it provokes a war amongst the dragons and brings the fragile peace between dragons and mankind to a catastrophic end.

Nothing written in the annals of dragon lore has prepared Elizabeth to manage a dragon not governed by the Blue Order. Dragons have always loved her, but this one finds her arrogant, selfish, and insensitive to others. With only her instincts to guide her, she must convince the rogue of her good intentions before the Blue Order loses patience and decides on more drastic measures.

Called away to the other side of the kingdom, trying to settle the dragons' unrest, Darcy learns the nature of the force poisoning the rogue dragon against Elizabeth. One nearer and dearer than they could have imagined.

Can Elizabeth and Darcy convince with rogue dragon to cooperate before darker forces turn it against them, without destroying the fragile bonds uniting the couple?

WOW! This was so good! I loved this story so much. This series has been such a fun and interesting spin on P&P with dragons and such an amazing world. These characters feel so real and make me feel for them. I loved Elizabeth's search for the rogue dragon and Mr. Darcy's search for Lydia. There was a lot of fun action in this book. I hope there are more books in this world since this was the end of this trilogy but I don't want to say goodbye to these characters or this world. I have loved every moment of getting to listen to this. This is a fun series that I wanted more of.

This is the fourth book I have read/listened to by this author and of this series. I’ve enjoyed each one. The melding of Austen’s characters and storyline with the dragon storyline is well done. This, like several other of the books, does not try to follow Austen’s story and merely add in a few words about dragons. The base concept and plot is there, but the alterations and additions the author has made make this a very unique tale.

This is the sixth book I have listened to by this narrator ( Benjamin Fife ). He does well with the accents and female voices. He brings the interactions of the characters to life with the British flair of the time.
The high chipmunk-style voice is interesting to try to understand since I speed up the audio for listening. I’d prefer to listen at 1.6x but can only do 1.4 since the voice is already speed up. But, that’s my choice.

There are no explicit sex scenes, excessive violence or swearing.

This was a very enjoyable Pride And Prejudice variation. But it was a fantastic fantasy about Dragons. Darcy and Elizabeth are much the same as in the original with similar misunderstandings and a sweet romance. Richard is much more the veteran soldier here and he has a grim mission from the Blue Order. Mr. Bennett’s laziness has very serious consequences. Darcy is more steadfast in his feelings. Elizabeth’s intelligence and ingenuity shines brightly. Her interactions with all the different dragons drives the story. The Blue order and the Concords are explained in greater detail. There’s lots of action, danger and intrigue in this finale.
Benjamin Fife’s narration has gotten better and better with each book. How he can voice the high fast trills of the fairy dragons and the low and slow bass of the greater dragons is uncanny. Plus all the humans and other dragonkind. In this book he also has the accents of 2 foreign dragons. Mr. Fife handles the action and tender moments equally well without getting overly dramatic in either situation.
I purchased all the kindle books in this series and the first 2 audiobooks but came across a promotion on this final book. I received this book at my request for an honest review. This series should be read in order. It isn’t just for fans of P&P variations. If you like fantasy or dragon books with a detailed and well thought out society you’ll love this series.

Very satisfying conclusion.

I received this audio book for free and am giving my honest and voluntary review

This is book three in the Jane Austen’s Dragons series. Elizabeth is betrothed to Darcy and in search of the rogue dragon on her sister, Jane’s, property, Netherfield. She has a fight with Darcy and is kidnapped by Netherfield. Meeting the dragon, she realizes that he is a pacifist.

The interactions between human and dragon society is enchanting. I love the way cooler heads and domination in a peaceful form prevail to prevent death and destruction. Longbourn’s love for Elizabeth made me feel empathy for the overbearing dragon.

The narration was spectacular and the various voices done by the narrator were superb!

A DECISIVE ENDING FOR DARCY AND ELIZABETH
