This may be THE most important book I've ever read/listened to to help my family. My 14-year-old grandson and I talk a lot about his ADHD, and I learned SO much here. This is the 13th book about neurodivergent brains I've listened to and it is the best! I'm about to listen again to pick up even more!

Truly an import book!

As someone with ADHD, autism, and dyslexia my struggles come in a variety of forms. My IEP didn't really exist after elementary school and I didn't have most of the accommodations I needed until I got to college, I firmly believe in getting your child tested for other conditions when they have one as they're more likely to have others. When a child's needs go unmet and they don't know they have them they become a life-long struggles. This audiobook takes the cake! You can walk a mile in someone's shoes without ever leaving the room. The reflection quests are super helpful to challenge not only the injured parties thought but to enlighten others.

This audiobook is such a validating listen. Neurodivergent Teens does a great job of meeting teens where they are—without trying to “fix” them. Instead, it focuses on understanding neurodivergence, building self-awareness, and developing tools that actually work in real life.
The narration is calm, respectful, and easy to follow. Nothing feels patronizing or overly clinical. It talks about things like emotional regulation, communication, sensory overwhelm, self-advocacy, and confidence in a way that feels relatable and empowering.
What really stood out to me is how strengths-based it is. Neurodivergence isn’t framed as a problem—it’s framed as a different way of experiencing the world, with challenges and unique strengths. That alone makes this audiobook worth it.

Affirming, practical, and genuinely supportive
