Never-Moore: At No Future Time; Never Again. A commanding military man, Maximus Aurelius Moore covertly indulges his demanding sexual nature while secretly controlling a complex business life as a venture capitalist and heir to an Italian fortune. When he discovers a stunning dancer in Las Vegas, the enigmatic reserved man is shocked by his physical response to Seary, the star of Been Jammin'. Being an alpha male who makes things happen, he executes a plan for a long-term relationship with the untouchable diva to become his exclusive lover.

This was my first Cindee Batholomew's book. This is the first of six books in the Moore Series, and a good introduction to the Series. Maxium Aurelius (Aurei), an ex-military, and Seary, an exotic dancer, are intriguing characters. The storyline is interesting, mostly told from the male POV. Unfortunately, the story ends with a cliffhanger. This is a duet narration, well done by Gregory Salinas, and Lacy Laurel. Gregory Salinas has the perfect voice as Aurie. Lacy Laurel did a good job with the different accents.

Good Introduction to the Series

NEVER-MOORE is the first book in the Moore series. These will definitely need to be read in the order of release as there is one heck of a cliffhanger.

45 minutes of the first hour was a sex scene with no real establishment of who the main players of the story were going to be. The next hour was oozing with so much testosterone I have a hard time believing a woman wrote this. This is a man’s fantasy. So much so that it reminded me of the old Penthouse magazine letters… fast cars, fast women, fast lifestyle.

The Air Force brat that I am pitched a fit over Auri’s claim to rank – sorry, a Petty Officer is a Naval rank and probably wouldn’t be a chopper pilot. I won’t even get into his lack of education.

If you’re looking for a smut sandwich with no claims to reality, go for it. Just remember I said this one should have started with, “Dear Penthouse,…”

Narration: The narration is beautifully done. Lacy Laurel’s and Gregory Salinas’ voices are perfect compliments to one another and they both have pronunciation, enunciation, intonation, and theater well mastered.

Note: While I received this book as a gifted audiobook copy, my opinions are my own and are given freely.

This book feels like just the beginning, I definitely need more. Lacy and Gregory are great together. These characters have a lot going on in their pasts but also lots to look forward to in the future as well.

This was a good start to hopefully a continuing series. The storyline and characters were interesting and I’m hoping there is more character and story development as it continues. This one ends on a cliffhanger so looking forward to more. The narrators did a good job with this story.
