Great Story! Great Narration!

I found this book by Jaclyn Hardy to be nonstop action! Treasure hunting has always appealed to me, and I loved this adventure of Cleopatra's Necklace. The storyline is captivating. I thought the author wrote some great twists, and liked the aspect of not knowing who to trust. The chemistry between the main characters was great. Sara K Sheckells performed this book flawlessly. I loved how she had distinguishable voices for the various characters. She really did an outstanding job with just the right emotions for each scene. This book is a standalone listen and the start of a new series. I am looking forward to listening to more books by this author and narrator.

How can an antique necklace cause trouble?

Anthropologist and professor, Carlie, is secretly carrying on the work of her deceased father and searching for rare antiquities. She is attracted to a professor in another department but the antiquities world is rather cut throat so she hides her research and does not explore the attraction. Imagine her surprise when she finally discovers the location of a necklace and meets archaeology professor, Braden, on the same flight. Braden is working undercover for an agency that is also searching for the necklace and he is expected to retrieve it. Carlie is even further surprised when Braden shows up to collect the necklace! However, neither ends up with the prize when they are ambushed, Braden is shot and the attacker takes off with the necklace. Now they are on their own in a foreign country...since their respective backers/agencies have dropped them. Can Carlie trust Braden? Lots of action...car chases, bullets flying, bad guys at every corner! Carlie and Braden will have to team up to survive and recover the necklace...they may even explore their mutual attraction, Great story that leaves you wanting more! Superb narration that keeps you engaged in this audiobook.

The Chase Is On

A romantic adventure that I throughly enjoyed. This is the first time I’ve read work by this author however, I was not disappointed. The main characters Carlie and Branden are very different but provide a contrast that goes a long way to contributing to this story. Narration was very good as the voices were easily distinguishable for each character. This being no easy feat within an audible format. I’ve listened to other audios where it was difficult to ascertain which character was being represented and consequently, made the story line frustrating to follow. The voice inflection was also good as conversations illustrated the various emotions throughout the story making it easy to hold my interest. The book was short compared to my normal audios however, if you’re looking for a feel good romantic adventure- look no further.

I thoroughly enjoyed this fast-paced adventure. It’s a well-written story with fun characters. I love Jaclyn Hardy’s books, and Sara Sheckells did a great job narrating.

Entertaining

Great book! The author did a great job pulling the reader in on the characters journey and trials to find cleopatrias necklace, there was plenty of action and just enough love to make it well rounded. The narrarator did a fantastic job bringing the characters to life and making the reader feel apart of the journey. this book would be a great addition to your library and well worth the money!
