Centuries ago, this magnificent chalice sealed my fate as a vampire, and now I am its protector. Many have hunted me for it, but only Vivian has accomplished the task. Strong, lovely, haunted... I am more attracted to her than I should be, yet her loyalty lies with a man determined to bring about my destruction. But I am not so easily locked in a cage, and now the captive has become the captor.

Though her stormy eyes tempt me, there is too much at stake--not merely my life but the lives of my vampire Brotherhood. And I am not above using Vivian to achieve my goals, even if it means denying my own heart. The battle to end all battles is just beginning, and I must fight...if I could only let my desire be damned.

As with other reviewer's opinions, sadly previous recorded books from this series were not good purely because of "not good" to "bad" narration. In fact, I even passed two of them by after listening to the short clip beforehand! If the previous books could be re-done to be as good as this book, that would be great! Arika Escalona was excellent in my opinion and I'll be looking for more books read by her.
The story itself was exciting and brings all the characters back together but I won't give more than that away! Romantic but not mushy but lots of passion...
So yes, I highly recommend this book!

The best of the audible series for sure

It captures you right from the start and carries you along with it as we finally find out who is at the top of the group involved in all the murders and plots against the Brotherhood of vampires and why.

This has a good romance along with all the characters seen from the previous books unite to fight the enemy and - at last a better narrator.

Worth a credit? Yes, I think it was the best in the series.

FINALLY - BRILLIANT ENDING TO A GREAT SERIES
