The new story in the phenomenal Midnight, Texas series from number-one New York Times best-selling author Charlaine Harris.

At Midnight's local pawnshop, weapons are flying off the shelves—only to be used in sudden and dramatic suicides right at the main crossroads in town. Who better to figure out why blood is being spilled than the vampire Lemuel, who, while translating mysterious texts, discovers what makes Midnight the town it is? There's a reason why witches and werewolves, killers and psychics, have been drawn to this place. And now they must come together to stop the bloodshed in the heart of Midnight. For if all hell breaks loose—which just might happen—it will put the secretive town on the map, where no one wants it to be....

I love Fiji haha so I’m happy there was some progress in her love life. I did not expect Olivia to be such a central part of the books. I like that Quinn was featured more here. But the voice actor for Quinn,.. that’s definitely not how I imagined he sounded like when I read through the Sookie books.

Interring story!

I love all Charlaine Harris' works and Midnight, Texas series is one of my favorite series. Love how the author involves several characters that we first met in the Sookie Stackhouse series as minor characters and they get their own stories.
And Fiji Cavanaugh is such a fantastic character!
All the actors' voices are great and the quality of recording is mostly amazing. My only complaint about the recording is how unrealistic and loud the footstep sounds were. Especially when the characters are walking on concrete ... it should not sound the same as a wooden staircase. And why does kissing sound like both characters are munching on a cheeseburger? OMG, hilarious. And the instant moaning? Really weird!

Amazing story and a great recording!

The narrator sounds like he has a mouth full of marbles. It is so terribly distracting. If I had been able to return the book and buy the regular version I would have.

Don't get the dramatized adaptation
