The ice witch and tarot king are a married couple who are also known as royalty in the kingdom realm of ninarphay. they are given a prophecy telling them of the downfall of ninarphay caused by an evil devil who also helped found ninarphay. them, along with the mysterious powers of the gargoyle Gayla sworn to protect them, journey the dangers of ninarphay in search of a powerful jewel that will inevitably help to defeat this devil and restore order to ninarphay. in the final volume the forces of transzalore have taken hold of ninarphay and are marching to invasion. nearly all the pantheons have been defeated, and there is none left to defeat the invading hoards except the four monarchs, who have become more skilled and agile in their banishment from the realm of ninarphay.
