BookTok's beloved hilarious surrogacy romcom, duet narrated by fan-favorites Teddy Hamilton and Erin Mallon.

“A hilariously fresh and spicy rom-com that I couldn’t put down!” -Meghan Quinn, USA Today Bestselling Author

Help Wanted: Grumpy mountain man seeks baby momma. Job is an incubator position only. Surrogate must be impervious to grunting as the form of communication and nosy brotherly neighbors. Rustic mountain range housing available upon request.

I wanted to pummel my irritating brothers when they posted their own version of a wanted ad to help me with my life.

But I can’t fault the results once the right woman lands in my lap.

Becoming a single father is not a decision I made lightly. In fact, it’s the biggest decision of my entire life.

Which is why when I interview Trista, I know she’s perfect.

She’s wild, she’s opinionated, she wears cowboy boots. Even my pet goat loves her…

She’s the exact type of person I was holding out for.

And to my great horror, I realize on our first night of attempting this baby-making dance—when the lights are low, the cheap wine is flowing and the home-insemination supplies are laid out on the kitchen counter—I want to do a lot more than just make her my surrogate.

I want to make her mine.

Wyatt and Trista

The one liners, MC energy (one stoic grumpy teddy bear and one sunshine rainbows and all the pet animals), plus the slow burn energy had me wanting more! After eyeball reading, I picked up the Audiobook - and holy hot. The duet narration brings this to an entire bonus level of amazing.

Trista is full of passion, independance, love of animals, and a bit messy.
Wyatt is a broody man of few words, heart of gold, and a family who is a PITA yet he would do anything for.

I absolutely adore this book. It had me laughing one minute, in tears the next, and swooning in-between!

And she is back!!! I have been waiting for a new Amy Daws' book and was so excited when she announced this fun and sexy book was coming out and let me tell you it was worth the wait! I laughed, I swooned, I giggled and I fell in love. I knew I was going to love this one just based on the teasers... a plus sized animal lover, a "grumpy" possessive mountain man and a surrogacy, what's not to love!

Wyatt is my kind of guy, he knows what he wants and goes for it. He might come off as grumpy but he is a softy for the people he loves. Trista has goals and is ready to do what she needs to to meet those goals even if that means being a surrogate. These two together are so much fun. The snark, sarcasm and just all out silliness of some of their situations made this book so enjoyable and don't let that make you think this isn't a HOT book because oh man this mountain man is a dirty talker and bossy in a very good way. I also really enjoyed the way these two both have some past issues that are VERY different but each of them understands the others hang-ups and they do things to show each other that things with them are different from what they have experienced in the past.

My second favorite thing about this book is the family!! Wyatt's family is so close and I just love how thoughtful they are and how they come together when they need too. I loved them all and can't even say who my favorite was. The animals Trista rescues are also a big part of this story and as an animal rescue girl myself, this just made me love Trista & this book even more.

The narration was stellar as always with Erin Mallon & Teddy Hamilton! These are my 2 favorite narrators so this was a no brainer for me ;) I love how natural their duet narration flows.

I am reminded why the saying is "trust the process." I should know better than to expect anything but excellence when it comes to Amy's stories.

I had a hard time connecting with Trista, and it affected how I viewed the book. But once we got into the middle of the story and we got some of the backstory, it all made sense. I then got it.
Her story is powerful, sad, and inspiring. To see her recuse the things others don't want well makes you see her in a different light, too. She just had to get me there in her own time and once I was, I couldn't want her to be with anyone but Wyatt.

I wanted Wyatt to have everything his heart wanted. He is such a wonderful, gruff man. The way he loves it is inspiring. He and his brothers have a lot of baggage, but they are unpacking it little by little. Everly has a huge part to play in that, and it's sweet to see how she has them all wrapped around her pinky. Letting go is hard, and to see them each struggle to let her be the woman she grew into. Well, you want to wrap them all up in a big hug.

Wyatt and Trista's story evolved in the very best of ways. I can't wait for you all to read or listen to it. It will make you want to call up your book besties and talk about it. This book has layers, and they need to be talked about.

What I love about Erin's voice is she can be the girl next door, or she can be the fun-loving, take me where the wind blows, girl. She can do it all, and she gives Trista that unique voice I love so much.
Teddy is another narrator who can be so many voices, and he knows just the right tone and the right inflection to make Wyatt that gruff but intuitive man I loved.

📚Story overview📚
I really enjoyed Wyatt and Trista’s story and I loved how we get to see characters from past books several years down the road! Wyatt’s a grump to Trista’s sunshine. He’s a man that knows what he wants and doesn’t let anyone convince him otherwise. We hear a lot about the female perspective of building a family, but rarely from the male POV.

This story was jam packed with that @amydawsauthor humor we love, a real sized FMC, and had me laughing from the start. I thought the way the story progressed through time was clever with the weeks and animals on the mountain updates. What more is there to say about this book that hasn’t already been said? It’s a fun read!

🎧❤️Audio performance review❤️🎧
I can’t say enough good things about this pairing, I’m a big fan of both of these narrators and they did not disappoint! Erin brought her bright and bubbly tone that rounded out Trista’s loving and spirited personality. Teddy inflection and deadpans kill me! Every. Time! 👏🏼He was a fantastic cold and grumpy Wyatt and a wonderful fit for that Amy daws humor!

***These are my own honest thoughts that I have provided voluntarily. I purchased this audiobook.

So stinking hilarious

Loved this story, with funny, sweet characters, a grumpy mountain man, a found family for Trista, the surrogate who had no idea she’d find her HEA - it’s all so entertaining and fabulous fun. But beware, there are emotional scenes too. All of these characters, but especially Wyatt and Trista, will capture your heart.

Couldn’t have chosen more perfect Narrators for this one.
