NO CHANCE It is an exciting story of adventure, sorrow and love between two very different people. Twelve-year old Randy Wilson escaped from his prison. Without money, food or a destination he has no chance to remain free. While hiding from the police, Randy enters the Sandhills National Forest and soon find life alone in the forest to be dangerous and lonely. When it became necessary, he stole. Rand told himself that he was not a thief and reconciled himself to do what was necessary to stay alive. He borrowed tools from an old woman’s shed to build himself a cabin. Returning a hammer, Randy discovered a box with a note, “Little boy this is for you.” He was amazed she knew about his borrowing and not called the sheriff! Then winter came and with it death.
