When Essie Singh and her husband, Sanjay, move into their new home, they expect to do renovations, they don’t expect to be confronted with a curse that threatens both their relationship and Sanjay’s life.

Essie has always seen herself as someone defined by her ambitions, a cold and independent woman, whose only soft spot is her husband. She never imagined herself as a mother, but then she finds out she’s pregnant. Boring

The idea of this story line had promise but the story just dragged on and I kept waiting for it to be good and it never did. The ending was terrible. It felt rushed and like it didn’t belong.

Snooze fest

This book is so insanely boring, each chapter feels like a recap of the chapter I just listened to. 3/4 of the way through the book and I feel like I’m still on chapter 2.
