"No Man’s Chattel" is a rollicking coming-of-age novel set in the medieval commercial centers of Lubeck and London, England. It is not so much a story of the societal norms of the era as of one young woman’s struggle to defy them.

Adventures on the high seas and the dark corners of 1309 London.
Some sapphic romance with (hopfully) more in the sequels.
The virtual voice narrator is good and rarely noticable.
The only disappointment is the FMC is put in situations no man or woman could realistically handle on their own and is saved by men.
