After losing her husband to a sudden heart attack, Tess Mathews escapes to Bora Bora to lay her husband and sorrow to rest. What she doesn't expect is a new beginning.

Tom Clemmins is an A-list actor whose life revolves around work and an onslaught of women. He travels to Bora Bora for a much-needed break. Tom has a few ideas of how he'll enjoy his vacation, but love isn't one of them. Until he sees Tess.

Reserving a private shark-feeding excursion to scatter her husband's ashes into the lagoon, Tess is furious when Mr. Hollywood bribes his way onto the boat, leaving her no other choice but to share the boat ride.

Tess is torn between tremendous guilt and zealous lust when their boat ride turns into a week full of romance and desire neither thought imaginable. Utterly smitten with a woman for the first time in his life, Tom casts his commitment phobia aside and whisks Tess off to Malibu where he introduces her as his "girlfriend" on the red carpet.

As the paparazzi besiege, can Tess survive the media blitz that ensues in order to find her second chance at love?

- I only gave the book 3 stars because I just found it uneventful and boring. Not even sure why it was boring -maybe I just couldn't really connect with the characters? And nothing intriguing happened? I'm searching here. It has a lot of sex, which does not make a book bad or good to me...depends on if their is build up, hotness, tenderness. This has hotness and fun and tenderness, but just never felt connected to the characters. I really just didn't find it very interesting and was wanting it to be over.

Just didn't grab me...

What did you love best about No More Wasted Time?

The story is about finding love twice in a lifetime. Tess was fortunate enough to fall in love and stay in love for 25 years with her husband. But a sudden heart attack took all that away from her. Yet she is blessed enough to find it again with someone very unexpected and very special one.

This was such a refreshing change! I love romance novels, but sometimes they get a little to graphic.

Great story

Tess Mathews suddenly lost her husband after 25 years of marriage. Now a year later, she is leaving her 3 grown children to spread his ashes alone at the place they both loved. It was a very emotional scene but the man who hijacked her tour made it easier for her. This man turned out to be Tom Clemmins, a very famous actor. He was attracted to her from the start but she wasn't as smitten at first. He is everything Tess's husband wasn't but everything she needs. They start a whirlwind, passionate romance and learn to navigate each other's lives along the way. Valerie Gilbert did a wonderful job bringing this story to life. Her voice changes for each character were effortless and her inflections engaging. This is a sweet, sexy, fun romance with very little drama or angst.

I was prepared to feel pretty snarky about it, but found it to be really good. I mean, to afford to just fly off to the South Seas to scatter the beloved husband's ashes and get swamped by a Hollywood idol? But it turned out to be well done and a really lovely escape read that I recommend wholeheartedly!
Probably the best reason for my own enjoyment is that I have the audio interpretation by Valerie Gilbert who always adds so much to a book's characters.

A dandy escape read!
