James Cobb has been to the brink and back. In a matter of weeks, he went from earning $4 an hour washing cars in rural Alabama to making a quarter million dollars smuggling Moroccan hashish on the beaches of Spain with his estranged biological father, a man described as “one of the biggest players in the world of drug smuggling”. From the extravagance of Acapulco and the "Valley of Death" on the US border, to deadly work in the heat of southern Spain, and a desperate chase through the Louisiana swamps, Jamie's life takes a grave turn where there can be only one outcome...

Action packed and incredible to think this man lived this life of risky decisions and survived it all to tell the story. Great read.

No One Knows the Son is an enthralling account of one man's journey to the bottom and back. Cobb gives us a no-holds-barred account of his life which teaches that mistakes are oh-so easy to make, especially when the promises of riches are on the table. This would be a great read for younger people thinking of taking the wrong paths in life. A real-life example of how we define who we are, despite the mistakes we may have made in life. It's also an encouraging example of personal redemption. You are who you make yourself to be!

Very entertaining, I found myself wanting to absorb the story as quickly as possible. The narrator was exceptional, with an easy voice that quite accurately depicted the various accents of the people in the story. I can't recommend this book enough!
