For a young boy of twelve to witness a murder is a terrible tragedy, but it doesn’t end there. The lad is shackled by the unexplained mystery and cannot tell a soul about it. Snooping in Mr. Blake Thomas’ private Pullman on that dreadful night, he was not supposed to see him kill a beautiful young woman. Something had enraged the rich old man. Now a person lay dead on the floor, and the young boy would surely be murdered too if caught hiding in the closet. As he held his breath, another corpse fell to the floor only feet away. Then something strange happened. A young girl could be heard crying just out of view. An intriguing item rolled toward his hiding place, landing at his feet. Silence followed.
