Nyarlathotep is one of Lovecraft's most well known characters, second to Cthulhu, and appears in six of Lovecraft's stories: "Nyarlathotep", "The Rats in the Walls", "The Dream-Quest of Unknown Kadath", "The Dreams in the Witch House", "The Haunter of the Dark", and "The Shadow Out of Time" and his sonnet "The Fungi from Yuggoth".
