When Mr Darcy discovers Elizabeth Bennet's true feelings, he's grateful the ill-fated proposal he had planned to make in Kent was stopped. But as the London Season drags on, he realizes the truth: he cannot be happy without her. Determined to become the man worthy of her regard, he returns to Hertfordshire with a singular purpose—to win her heart.

If only it were that simple. Darcy has indeed reformed himself, tempering his pride and learning humility, but Elizabeth's wounded feelings and lingering resentment cannot be overcome in a day. Just as she begins to see the changes in him and tentatively accept his friendship, a host of new obstacles emerge to test them both.

Meddling relations with their own agendas interfere at the worst possible moments. Well-meaning friends offer advice that only complicates matters further. Most troublesome of all is a rival suitor—charming, persistent, and determined to claim Elizabeth for himself—who seems to appear whenever Darcy and Elizabeth draw close.

Yet Darcy perseveres, and slowly, painfully, Elizabeth's heart begins to soften. Just when happiness seems within their grasp and all misunderstandings appear resolved, malicious gossip begins to circulate about Elizabeth's character and reputation. The whispers threaten not only her standing in society but Darcy's as well, forcing them both to confront an agonizing question: can their love survive such a scandal, or will propriety and duty destroy their chance at a future together forever?

Officious Interference is a low angst novel length Pride and Prejudice variation. Set in the regency era, this tale is an enemies to lovers second chance romance that includes a love triangle and a scandalous elopement. The content is closed-door.

The end is very satisfying, but OH! the social shenanigans and misunderstandings of the understandings- and the tears!!

GREAT narrator- so much emotional friction!

What a wonderful P&P variation. The plot was fresh and new, the characters well developed, and the ending unexpected. Darcy fights for what he wants, and Elizabeth follows her heart! Oh we have our HEA, and it’s such a great listen all along the way.

The narration is spot on!

This is an excellent author and I recommend all of her P&P books! Great job and thank you for sharing your talents!

Fabulous!

Another Great One, I love the new and different characters, In this book. And, how Fd, had to step out of his comfort zone, in order to get what he wanted to WIN his love. I Love Amy D’s books, especially when paired with narrator, Elizabeth Grace. I only have one question… When will Viscount Sae, be getting his own book? He had me laughing out loud. So many times. He needs his own full and complete book. This book is most definitely a reread!

Another One!!!

Was pretty good but went for too long, It is not low anxiety. In fact I went to the end early to make sure that everything was okay and then went back to where I left off so that I could finish without being too stressed.

Good

What a wonderful read/listen!!! I think that I might be a bit biased because I love P&P variations and this one was very entertaining for me! I truly enjoyed that Lord Saye was involved in the plot! The variety of voices from a live person was a delightful change from the automated voice that can be heard in a lot of the books! I enjoy listening to P&P various audio books because they are clean, and they don’t have the awful curse words that many writers use these days! Try listening to this one, as I am sure you’ll enjoy the story!

Absolutely Delicious!!!
