Ollie was not a good animal in the forest. His mentality about kindness for other animals was very different. Ollie did not like helping others. At various moments, he refused to give or share his food with anyone except his friend Bobby, the rabbit. When they stumbled across a hungry squirrel, Ollie refused to share.
