Imagine my surprise when my new neighbor turns out to be one of Scotland’s most famous (and hottest) professional footballers, Callan Keen. I’m even more shocked to discover that the brooding player is still holding a grudge for something that happened (or didn’t happen) between us years ago.

Too busy trying to take my social media management company to the next level, I don’t have time for this gorgeous blast from the past. Or at least I shouldn’t. Yet whenever I see him, I can’t help but engage in a battle of wits with the grump upstairs.

When a huge client opportunity arises, circumstances force me to enlist Callan’s help. I require a fake date and Callan needs me to facilitate a meeting with my dad to further his own business interests.

The deal between us should be simple. Except, of course, the blazing chemistry we’ve shared since the moment we met. We can’t deny it, we can’t control it, and soon we’re agreeing to six weeks of no-strings-attached, mind-blowing, steamy shenanigans.

I told myself I was too smart to catch feelings. But when Callan finally finds out the truth about our past, he becomes the guy I used to know. And that man is way too easy to fall for.

The problem is that Callan has vowed to never let another person close enough to break his heart again.

It just might prove impossible to show my stubborn Scotsman I’m worth the risk, especially when old wounds are re-opened and threaten to wreck any chance of a future together…

I thought it would be very difficult to start a new era of on Dublin street and stand alone and be good but Samantha Young did it. It felt different from on Dublin street but with the same vibe. I’m looking forward to the next book on this series. Great dual POV narration.

New era, same exceptional writing.

Oh man was this book just so damn good!! Callan and Beth, who had a fleeting romance when they were teens, are reunited after 8 years when they realize they are now living in the same apartment building (on Loverose lane ❤️). These two had great banter and obvious chemistry, but once they cleared the air surrounding what broke them apart when they were younger, these two stopped holding back.

There was so much character development, great friendships, some heartbreak, and mending of those broken hearts. I just adored this story and these characters.

Thank you to the author for an e-ARC of this book - all opinions are my own!

HOLY CANOLI I ADORED THIS.

I soaked up the honestly, tension and banter that came with these characters that wore their hearts on their sleeves as their spark and chemistry from years ago reignited. High school sweethearts getting a second chance at love is such a sweet trope that brings all the emotions and swoons, too. Callan and Beth find that they are now neighbors, but a misunderstanding that tore them apart years ago is hard to forget. When she needs his help in pretending to be her boyfriend, agrees, because he also had an ulterior motive. They were both afraid and hesitant to admit their true feelings, but when they did it brought passion and spice, and the strength to move on from their past. Their story is second gen…I didn’t have an issue with comprehension but I defiantly want to read the original series (On Dublin Street). The dual narration from Shane East and Zara Hampton-Brown was a delight to listen to. They truly bright the enemies to lovers portion to life with their emotional range, and hearing it in the accents they performed with was icing on the cake. 4.25 stars

I loved this story so much I'm sad I finished it! I'm so excited to have a new generation of the Charmichaels and their extended family to read about while getting glimpses into how the others have been, seeing their relationships still going strong while feeling real at the same time. Like all the stories in the earlier On Dublin Street series, this book is fantastic, the characters feel real and raw and I loved how Callan and Beth's relationship progressed throughout the story. Their banter is absolutely hilarious and their chemistry off the charts! I laughed, I sighed, I cried and I adored every second of this audiobook! In addition, the narration is beautiful and made the story and characters truly come alive. I absolutely devoured this story and can't wait for the next!

Sad I finished it!

3.5 stars. I loved Jocelyn and Braden from On Dublin Street. This book focuses on their daughter, Beth, and her relationship with soccer player Callan. I liked their banter, especially when they realized they lived in the same building. However, their chemistry wasn't off the charts, as I hoped.
