Finally Flika's story!

I was blown away with this book and Flicka's story thus far!! I have had a hard time waiting for her story to come out and have waited patiently for it and I was happy to finally get a story for Dieter as well so I am counting this as a two for one read for me! I felt that both Flicka and Dieter were well rounded and complex characters as they both have secrets and hurts that not everyone is aware of. In typical Blair fashion, she is only doling out their secrets a little bit at a time and then waiting to drop a bomb in this series later (like with Dieter's past that has me totally intrigued). The plot moved along at a good pace even though at times it kind of felt like a rehash of events from previous books in the series but told from a different POV making it feel fresh and not recycled. There were a few twists that I did not expect, especially with Pierre. The narrators, Jason Clarke nad Lucy Rivers did a great job with the performance of this story. The pair made me think that it was actually Flika and Dieter telling the story thus making it an enjoyable listening experience. The pair have also built up my anticipation to see what happens and where the story goes next for this pair.

Dive right into the intensity that is Blair Babylon. Prepare to be taken on adventure of the heart. Once Upon a Time takes a dangerously steep route to love. Dieter and Flicka are an emotional high dive of heartache, danger and suspense. There's always a twist lurking in the shadows to draw you even deeper into the maze of a different kind of fairytale. Beautifully tragic. Breathtakingly emotional. Unpredictable romance.

Another great story with talented voice actors. I love the written word and Audible! Can't wait for the next book in the series! I recommend this story.

Once Upon a Time is so good!

I've been working my way thru Blair Babylons books, but somehow I managed to miss out on reading Flicka's story.  I'm so happy to rectify that problem now by finishing Flicka's 1st book, Once Upon a Time. 
The narrators are on point as always.
Jason Clarke and Lucy Rivers are top notch.
I enjoyed viewing Wulf and Rae's story a bit from another perspective.
Flicka and Dieter are hot together! I loved that it wasnt a new meeting and they had a backstory.
I cant wait to listen to the rest of Flicka's story.

LOVED IT!

Blair's writing paired with the narrating skills of Jason Clarke and Lucy Rivers is spot on. Flicka's series gets a great start in this audiobook. Deiter is brought to rugged sexy life and Flicka's struggles and trauma are tastefully if not painfully portrayed. Looking forward to the rest of the series in audiobook especially since I have loved all of Blair's series whether or not I read them or listened. Welcome to billionaires in disguise and a runaway princess with a beautiful story to continue to unfold.
