This story is perfectly wonderful, sweet and tart like oranges. It is placed in the present day, with real problems children face, some of them serious ones. The performance is perfect This story is acted, not just read. The narrator inhabits the story, telling it in the 23 voices of the characters, including a parrot, and also sings beautifully. Even if you don't often read or listen to "children's books" you will enjoy this one if you appreciate emotional truth, suspense, and perfect endings.
