Follows the movie for the most part but still has its own identity. I just wish there were more books. I have really enjoyed these.

I want to like it more because it's a cute story, but there are some issues to me that are pretty big issues. Elle had no character growth. She was judgmental, a hypocrite, and honestly narcissistic. There is no way she should have been as childish at 18 as 16.
spoilers/examples
she stayed jealous of everyone's relationship if she was not included.
ex. her and Lee went to the arcade
(after she was before upset about him not having time for her)
so when she returns she's jealous of Rachel and Amanda hanging out.
She is constantly mad at Noah and Lee for that matter for confiding in anyone else even if they really didn't know much yet went to Levi any time she was having issues
the way she got mad at Noah for fighting except in almost every scenario soneone was really being wrong to her or attacked him like he was the problem.
Even after Levi admits to having feelings for her, kissing her, hitting Noah, she still acts like Noah is in the wrong
Everything had to be about her... everything
Now I hope people do read this far. as much as she annoyed me I also enjoyed the story. I just feel like the only person who had character growth was Noah and some with Lee. I mean even Rachel did to a degree. So as much as that annoyed me, and more then I wish it did I couldn't believe the talent especially after hearing how young she was. I just hope for future reference she will allow her character more growth in between books.
I actually wish she would write a short for one of their weddings with enough detail to see that growth. Maybe a book even.
I also heard the movie was made first and I'm not sure how I feel about that.
though it's a cute read.

such great writing for someone so young..

I loved the book, however wish it went into more detail at the end to let us know of Elle and Noah loved happily ever after.

I did not like that this book was based on the movie instead of vice versa. I think that I really didn't keep to the characters personalities that way. It had them do things I couldn't quite see them doing. I did appreciate that Beth Reekles changed some of it and made it more of her own.
