Boy meets girl, boy wins girl, boy nails girl - boy's gone by morning.

I think for sure it must've been a dream because there's no way a guy could look like that, touch me like that, and be so in tune with me on every known level and disappear, leaving me with nothing but a good story to tell my friends.

When he walks into my bar three months later, everything I thought I knew and what we'd had disappears in the blink of an eye and the blinding light of the three-carat diamond on his fiancee's hand.

It seems what I thought was a dream is now my most complicated reality, and I've got absolutely no idea how to fix it - or if I even want to.

If you need something with drama, look no further. This book was so good. The narrator did a fantastic job. This author was new to me so now I'm interested in others she has written.

love the drama

I almost don't know where to start. The writing was witty and fun. I wanted to smack Kinsey quite a few times. What a hot mess. And, still I liked all of the characters with all of their crazy quirks. You could sort of see someone making these decisions and going through all of this. It was a fun and crazy ride. This could have so easily been one of those roll my eyes, and put down because I would have walked away long ago. Kinsey was a glutton for punishment. But, the writing was witty and good enough not to go over that edge of no return. The comedic timing was perfect and it all just kept me engaged in the story and wanting to know what would happen next. This is my first BJ Harvey book and I look forward to more.

This is also my first time listening to Stella Bloom I think, and she did a fantastic job. The entire book was narrated by her except the last 5 min epilogue. While I'm totally fine with that, it was strange to think it would be narrated by 2 narrators when it really isn't. Though, I've listened to Joe Arden before, and his 5 minutes or less was just as good as his normal narration. A really funny hot mess of a listen.

This story grabbed me from the get go! The chemistry was palpable and the characters were interesting and engaging. The plot felt fresh in a way and the pace was just right. I liked the fact that Kenzie seemed very real. Strong yet guarded, but willing to try and give love a shot! Millen is all sorts of delicious alpha swoony yumminess. I couldn't get enough! The narration was great! Special note... The story is told in the female POV, the only Male chapter is the epilogue.

Exactly what I love in my romance audio

Oof. That was a sucker punch to my heart if ever I have heard one. The beautiful pain of this story was just... stunning. So good

Ouch, my heart!

I enjoyed this book, although I had some disappointment about how some of the adultery issues were discussed. I bought into the story and felt some pretty deep pangs over what went down, but when the deep conversations came, they fell flat. Millen had said some pretty good stuff when he and Kenzie first talked, but he sure didn't back them up. Some things were glossed over, others just ignored, and I found myself wishing for more depth.

I was disappointed that Joe Arden only narrated the epilogue, as I prefer dual narration. I understand why the story was written solely from the heroine's POV, although with the amount of agonizing Millen supposedly did, the emotional punch could have been so much deeper with his POV. My point as far as the narration goes is that I wish authors would stop making it seem like it's a dual narration when I keep running across it being 99% female narration, with the hero only in a chapter or prologue or epilogue. It feels like a deliberate cheat.

Enjoyable
