Follow the desperate journey of a scientist who will stop at nothing to save the woman he loves from a disease that is slowly consuming her body. But his actions have unintended consequences that plunge the world into a bloody and chaotic apocalypse, where the living are outnumbered by the ravenous, superhuman zombies that roam the streets.

In this toxic new world, no one is safe. The scientist's only son must navigate this character-driven hell, facing unimaginable challenges as he fights for survival in a world where death lurks around every corner.

Amid the chaos and destruction, the son must find a way to bring hope to the apocalyptic nightmare, but the odds are against him. With danger and betrayal at every turn, he must summon all his courage and strength to overcome the challenges that stand in his way.

Can he survive in a world that has been turned upside down by the virus? Can he find a cure to stop the zombie apocalypse? The fate of humanity rests in his hands.

Fantastic

I didn’t like Sean and Frank’s father/son relationship. Sean was too whiny, and Frank was too disconnected. This book had such potential, but the way Frank blew off anything that Sean tried to do didn’t sit right with me. And the way Sean whined about everything became annoying.

I do love the way the author gave us a good backstory into the development of the zombie virus, as well as the main characters development. It’s just that I wasn’t a big fan of the characters. LOL.

This is the type of series that I wish was in one Omnibus so I wouldn’t have to buy each book individually. So unfortunately, I will not be going on to book 2.

The family dynamic was tense…father & son relationship was very strained. The father & girlfriend relationship was rushed. The son and girlfriend relationship was sorta cringe. Now the story was good and really enjoyed the story overall and the narrator did a great job.

This series is ok, but not great. The narrator voices for some of the characters is annoying. The story is not really unique. The characters have unrealistic, stupid conversations that don’t move the story along.
