A music journalist (Tucker) from Nashville, Tennessee, is given an assignment by Volunteers Variety magazine to travel to Cleveland, Ohio, and cover the live music scene, along with the world famous Rock and Roll Hall of Fame. After attending an Alice Cooper concert in the Flats, he becomes entangled with a very strange group of people, diving into the gritty side of the big city to get their thrills.

Eventually they find themselves right at home with an insane crowd attending a concert to see the legendary David Allan Coe, all while covering the final stages of Outlaw Country music. Based on actual events, some names have been changed.

Genres: nonfiction short story, biography, autobiography, roman à clef, fictional autobiography, new journalism, gonzo journalism.
