We discover the scope of His love and patience, remaining steadfast until every wound is healed and all darkness has been displaced by light.

Perhaps you may wonder why I have chosen to write this intro in the third person. Please allow me to explain. My name is Pastor Marilyn Marrero, and this is my story. Despite the fact that I am narrating this true account of my life, the woman you are about to meet is no longer in existence. Even as I write most of the pages of this book, she is unrecognizable to me, nothing more than a distant memory.

My deepest hope and prayer is that the same love that rescued me from Out of the Shadows of Silence would bring you into the marvelous light, where old things are made new, and you too can realize the beauty and freedom found in your God-given identity.
