At the height of the crypto bull market in 2022 to a little over a couple of years later, the crypto economy experienced several catastrophic events. These include bankruptcies of FTX, Celsius, and BlockFi, Terra Luna's and Three Arrows Capital's implosions, and many bridge hacks, including the Ronin bridge hack. Crypto prices for many projects dropped by eighty to ninety percent, some of which not named Bitcoin have never returned to anywhere close to their all-time high prices (and possibly never will).

Over the last two years, however, there has been tremendous growth and development on the technological front. Blockchain innovations have led to an increasing number of people entering the Web3 economy, despite prices not reflecting this migration and growth.
