In relation to leaving or reducing contact with your family we are all individuals the same answer doesn't fit for all. One of the hardest truths for me to embrace in my love of writing God picked out for me is I have a right to write about my life. I have a right to have feelings about what happened to me. I am an individual and the oldest, and not an extension of my family. I was a victim of child molestation abuse and deserve to live an abuse free life.

The most important thing about writing publicly or even talking, writing about my life is how I feel about what I'm doing. I wish my family no malice or no harm, always love. My writing is delivering a message to anyone who have been abused or currently a victim of abuse and have not yet spoken out. I urge you to reach toward a safe person and speak your truth. You are too strong and courageous and deserve to live an abuse free life. Stand with me no longer a victim but a survivor.
