PAPPY MOSES' PEANUT PLANTATION

Near the end of the civil war, Moses Brown, an elderly black man is the true owner of the Bush Plantation – through inheritance. For appearances, his white son-in-law, Josh, plays the part of Master of the plantation when strangers are about. Together they make a success of the plantation. Their main goal is to use the money they make to buy slaves, but not just any slaves – they’re buying family members. The plan is, when they gather the entire family, they’ll exodus north to freedom. Problem is, just as they leave, other landowners catch on and hunt them, so they could take possession of the Plantation and its slaves.

Great story!!

Great story, the automated narration didn’t bother at all. Definitely sounds better than some of the real narrators.

This was a decent story didn't really like the ending but overall it was enjoyalbe...please invest in a live narrator! that artificial voice really ruined your book

Good Listen

I enjoyed the story. What I did not much care for is the virtual voice narration. I prefer human narration with the different voices for each character and the emotion in the voice. Besides the narration, it was a great short book.

Book that makes you think

This book reminds us of how precious our freedom is. Pappy is delightful as are the characters in this book. Couldn’t put it down.

Great story

Get past the hum drum monotone from the AI narrator. You lost a listener you should have spent extra money to get your stories. Read with More feeling.
