fun whodunit. good line up of secrets and a wide range of likable characters

I've read 2 books so far and looking forward to the rest. there are multiple choices in suspects, and the MC takes some interesting paths to find the truth. plus having different species/ cultures make for interesting motives that still feel very human. greed, envy, self- interest. all the classics really. the MCs personal story is also unfolding nicely. when an author can make me want to know 'what happens next' not just for the MC but also the side characters, even the tertiary ones, that's a good story
