The world is not the same since the Pandoravirus outbreak changed the essence of human nature. Those affected by the disease are consumed by adrenal rage. They erupt in violence with the slightest provocation. And now, infected scientist Emma Miller is forging them into an army of merciless killers marching across America.

Emma's twin sister, neuroscientist Isabel Miller, is desperate to avert the chaos that threatens to engulf civilization. But her team has its hands full staying one step ahead of the civil unrest that's ravaging the country.

Noah Miller, the twins' brother, thought he had created a safe haven for his family in the mountains of Virginia - until the arrival of Emma and her infected followers proved the folly of his plans. The Millers' conflict is just one of many sweeping the nation. A nation divided into factions. A nation on the precipice of all-out civil war....

This has been a terrific series and I look forward to the next chapter in the series

Great sequel!

Book 2 was good and went pretty fast. I am enjoying the story and liking Isabelle more and more. On to book 3.

Different but good

While it could probably stand on its own I would listen to 1 first. Small mistakes like saying statistical when I think the author meant stochastic, or saying Isabel instead of Emma at least once (editor must have missed it) but overall an interesting story and I cared about the characters and found the story thought provoking. Great narration.

Good follow-up to book 1

Great second instalment of Pandemic. Continues character development - paths cross again and again and story moves forward at a pace that is captivating. Don’t tune out - you may miss something. The minds structure and the construct of self, soul, ghost in a machine ignites introspection in the reader. Moving on to instalment 3!!

Science based dystopian

Very fun, entertaining story about potential Armageddon. Who’d have thought the end of the world would be so appealing

Guilty pleasure
