It’s Jonnie’s senior year, and her dream is to be the best wide receiver on the Buccaneers’ football team. But when she walks onto the field, the guys aren’t looking at her like they used to - especially her best friend and captain of the team Skyler.

Skyler’s floored when he sees his best friend Jonnie after being gone all summer. Growing up, she was the tomboy he chased around the playground, but now? He’s got a different game in mind.

Football is easy. Falling in love with the wide receiver? Things couldn’t be more complicated.

It’s a classic high school football story but with a pretty cool awesome twist. I haven’t the faintest idea of football and terminology but I got into the story that my lack of knowledge didn’t matter. It was very easy to follow. It was amusing to listen to the usual ups and downs of relationship of the teenage years. It was cool though that the relationship of the characters ran way deeper than a typical high school classmate. They had a lot of history! Loved the bonus chapter too!

A girl football player? I’ve certainly never met one. This story is sweet and sweeps you along to the finish.
The narrator did a good job helping the book come to life.

I really enjoyed this story! Many of the friends to couple romances don’t have much of the “other girl” aspect, which makes this story an original take on the common theme. I liked how this story encompassed the “love triangle” and I look forward to the next story involving Aiden and Amberlyn. The narrator did a good job making me feel like I was there watching the story unfold.

Pass Me the Ball is a cute YA with a fast pace and adorable characters with good chemistry. I’m really interested in the next book in this series. The narrator gave a great performance with slightly differing voices for characters, yet not overly dramatic.
