Twenty years ago, Alvin Toffler coined the term "future shock" – a syndrome in which people are overwhelmed by the future. Past Shock suggests that events which happened thousands of years ago strongly impact humanity today. New evidence in the fields of biology, genetics, anthropology, archaeology, astronomy and other sciences has begun to confirm the theory that technologically advanced beings may have in fact created and/or manipulated us in the ancient past. They called themselves gods. Barranger refers to these gods as the "pretender gods" because they demanded to be worshiped when they were not worthy of being worshiped. He exposes them, showing exactly how we were manipulated. He also shows how their conditioning is still with us today, impacting our psychology and modern religious beliefs.
