Put a Smile on My Face

So good. The story was compelling and the chemistry between Anna and Leif was electric. I adore all of Kylie Scott’s protagonists. It’s amazing just how much character development and growth were packed into one story. There were so many emotions. This was the perfect way spend the day and put a smile on my face.

Great Romance with some major character growth!

I loved being back with the Larson brothers! Repeat was the first book by Kylie Scott that I read and it completely blew my mind, the characters were great and the story line was so different from what I was used too and I am so glad that Leif got his own story now. Like Repeat, Pause is such a great and unique story that seems to be focused more on personal growth and self discovery than just romance. Don’t get me wrong, there is romance and steam but I love that Kylie Scott can mix so much more into the story that it seems limiting to say it’s a romance, it has everything!

The book begins with Anna waking up from a comma and finding out her life has completely changed. It turned out that seven months earlier Leif and Anna were involved in a car accident that left Leif with an arm injury and Anna in a comma. Anna spends the story trying to heal and figure out what she wants from this new life she has. Anna and Leif hadn’t met before the accident but when Anna finds out that Leif visited and read to her frequently in the hospital, she goes to pay him a visit. The connection between the two was great and on such a deeper level after what they both went through. Anna was a great character, I loved that she held her own and stood up for herself after waking up to betrayal by those that she loved. It would have been so easy for her to just cave and accept everything that happened but she stood strong and was focused on carving out a better life. Leif was awesome, I loved him when he was a jokester in Repeat but this time around had him more of a loner with trust issues, which was to be expected after everything.

Andi Arndt did an amazing job narrating this story, her voice for the characters were perfect and really brought them to life for me!

Absolutely worth the listen

Kylie Scott is a favorite author because she always writes characters with such emotion. I was late to the audio scene, however one of my first purchases was Repeat by Kylie Scott which also happens to be book 1. Each book is completely separate but you do meet Leif in that book. I loved when I heard he was getting his own book because of what he goes thru in Repeat.
Leif meets Anna thru a tragic accident and Andi does an excellent job at making you feel the words. I am still very selective about which audio books I purchase but I have no reservations recommending this audio book, the story and narrator are both excellent!

Emotional and Steamy Romance!

I was totally captivated by Anna and Leif's emotional and steamy story. Their roller coaster journey of connecting over a tragedy, learning their histories, their heartbreaks, and watching them help each other heal and grow was beautiful. Anna is coming out of a coma after a horrific accident only to learn that those she should have been able to trust have betrayed her. Now she is living at home, feeling smothered by her parents, and feeling lonely. Leif was a victim of the crash as well. He spent days by her bedside even when he was suffering himself, only to be sent away. Anna visits him one day wanting to thank the kind stranger her mother told her about. Anna is surprised by her attraction to the sexy, tattooed man who is her total opposite. She feels a connection from the start to this kindhearted, easy going man. They start to spend time together, helping each other overcome their past tragedies and heartbreak, becoming friends and then so much more. This is such a beautiful and captivating story of courage and strength. I loved watching both Anna and Leif's characters unfold and bloom, falling for them both and cheering for their HEA.
Andi Arndt gave a great performance narrating as she brought these characters and story to life. She easily illuminated their wit, passion, and vulnerability, making Anna, Leif, and their world feel completely real. I really enjoyed this emotional, heartwarming, and steamy romance!

Love love love!!!

I fell in love with Leif in Repeat, but he is so much more now! I truly enjoy Kylie Scott’s books I love the way she develops all the characters. The narration was perfection Andi is my favorite narrator.

So worth it!!!
