Life in the country was supposed to be relaxing...

Eric Sibley's new life in the sleepy riverside village of Burlam is going pretty well, except for the fact his new house is falling down around his ears, he has committed himself to preparing a lavish Christmas Day feast for the extended family, his wife is stressed out and overworked, his new allotment neighbor is crazy and, if that wasn’t enough, his mother-in-law has come to stay. Apart from that, it is all going brilliantly.

Following on from Peas, Carrots and an Aston Martin, once again, Eric Sibley and his family navigate their way through the trials and tribulations of everyday life. With the edition of some wonderful new faces, get ready to be swept up in a whirlwind of uninspiring leeks, troublesome chickens, inappropriate plumbers, and various sinister interlopers, and they are all hell-bent on turning Eric’s life upside down.

I received a free audio version of this book in exchange for a honest review. I would have liked to start at the beginning of the series but beggars cannot be choosers and all. I liked the characters and the story but the ending had me hooked...I had to find out what happened....luckily I received a free audio version of book 3 so I am starting that straight away.

The ending will get ya

This book is not as hysterical as book one it deals with serious family issues. I love most of the characters but there are a few I did not like for specific reasons. The storyline is very believable and well written. I love the different banter that goes on between characters. I received this book at my request and I am voluntarily leaving my honest review of my own volition.

This is the second installment of the Peas and Carrots series and is just as fun and quirky as the first. This series has drawn me in and I am thoroughly enjoying it.
The narrator does a perfect job of reading this book.

Another great book

Really enjoyed the second installment of this delightful series. Writing is superb, you easily feel enmeshed in the lives of the Sibleys, laughing along with the mishaps and feeling their angst, cheering Eric and Susie on to make it all work out in the end. I won't provide spoilers but be aware this is a SERIES of books so things are not neatly tied up at the end. Looking forward to the next installment. And I must add, the narration is excellent, too often a narrator is not skilled in switching between characters and setting the tone of the writing but this narration was done in a very engaging and professional style.

The saga continues, and boy is it a doozy !

Ok...This series is great..and I mean really great. I find myself wanting to smack Eric for being such a dunderhead... He irritates me not opening his mouth when he should!! I love his wife Suzie..Lord what a beautiful patient woman. Suzie is interesting because she comes from a family of insanity..but she is so good and kind. Her Mom is s total whack job that eventually you really do like. The humor is gone though..it went from being a truly funny story to being a truly heart wrenching story. I still highly recommend. it!
