Near Sebastian, Florida, on Route A1A, is the Pelican Island National Wildlife Refuge. While traveling through this area with my wife, I thought this would be a great location for a romance novel. I invented a town, Pepperoni Beach, along the coast in the fictional Pelican County. I had a blast writing five love stories set in this location.
