Covert activities breed mistrust & passion!

I have read this entire series and loved being swept away for a few hours on a whisper of intrigue and misadventure.
The sparks of instant attraction, romance and heated passion, fueled by an element of peril, forced confinement and the overpowering tidal wave of sexual tension, work well as Giselle and Éduard find themselves drawn to each other on an abandoned island, at dangerously crossed purposes, while they fight against the burning desire and unexpected intense emotion that hums between them.
Add to this the treat of listening to the tale, instead of reading it, brings the characters to life at a more potent level. Julia does a good job making the pair jump from the page and spring into life, representing their strong personalities, vulnerabilities and hopes and desires well.
A nice way to escape for a few hours!

Espionage in Regency France

Enhanced with professional narration, a female espionage age agent seeks to allude the man hunting her in Regency era, post revolution France. Entertaining. Steamy.

Splendidly Done!

I originally read this delightful story in November 2018. Goodness gracious, it seems so long ago - so many wonderful stories ago - and today I finished listening to the audiobook version, kindly gifted to me by the narrator, Julia Eve.
It still held me captivated! I am very happy to say that not only is the story and its characters and plot well put together but the narration is splendidly done and really helped conjure up some very vivid pictures of what was happening as the book progressed.
So, even if you have read this book before, do yourself a favor and listen to this audio - I highly recommend it!

Lots of twists and a good story line.

Narrator has a good accent.

Excellent short listen!

Didn’t know exactly what I was in store for upon receiving this audiobook, was wonderfully surprised it was excellent! Usually prefer dual narration but she did a great job. Looking forward to the rest of the listens!
