She broke his heart. But now, this former SEAL is her only hope of surviving what's coming.

Shortly after returning home from being held captive overseas, former Navy SEAL Silas Williamson found himself sole guardian of his four-year-old niece.

Moving to Hope Springs was supposed to be a safe haven for them both, but then she showed up. The woman who has haunted every moment of his life since they parted ways a decade ago.

Bianca Theodore has certainly suffered through her fair share of dark times. As a military trauma surgeon, she's saved more lives than she can count. However, there was one life she refused to save. And after years of hiding...those who know she's responsible have found her.

As Bianca faces down with the nightmares of her past, she turns to Silas who is haunted by his own. Together they stand a chance at surviving the coming battle, but only if they turn to the One who can bring them the peace they so desperately crave.

If you are looking for a sizzling (but not spicy!) romantic suspense, with a protective hero struggling with his faith, a talented surgeon fighting to survive, a small town that protects their own, and a team of wounded veterans turned private security officers, then Perilous Healing is for you!

This Christian Romantic Suspense deals with:
-Coping with trauma
-Discovering your worth
-Seeking God in everything
-Healing from your past

The Coastal Hope series can be enjoyed in any order!

The storyline has more depth than most books of a similar nature. Loved the added spiritual elements to the story. The book was read wonderfully, with pleasant voices to listen to.

Loved this fast paced, twist and turns story. Loved how they brought out the plan of Salvation and in a way that was completely natural.

Great story

I’m honestly a bit torn on this one.
Compared to the rest of the series, this book felt much lighter on action and suspense, to the point where I didn’t really feel any romantic suspense at all. That was a disappointment, especially given how strong the previous books were in that area.
This time around, the enemies-to-lovers tension came from the MMC rather than the FMC. While that dynamic didn’t bother me as much as in earlier books, it was still clearly present. The story felt less focused on suspense and more centered on his internal journey—finding his faith and finally admitting his feelings for Bianca. That emotional arc had its moments, but it also made the story feel more like a character study than a romantic suspense novel.
The pacing felt rushed, and by the end, the story seemed a bit unfinished. I did enjoy the conclusion and appreciated how the MMC stepped up to help everyone—that part felt satisfying and true to his growth.
While this book kept my attention because I was already invested in the series and its characters, I don’t think it stands as strongly on its own. If this had been my introduction to the series, I’m not sure I would have continued reading. It simply didn’t feel as polished or well written as the other installments.
As always, Savanna Rivers and Jarman Day did a great job with the narration. Their performances were consistent, engaging, and helped carry the story even when the plot itself felt weaker.
