The moment he’d sensed Persephone’s energy in the world again, Hades froze in place, his rage dissipating as he stared up at the sky he couldn't see. Hope. The seed, now bloomed, was sending a signal, causing his whole body to pulse with power. Hades dropped his accusing hand, pointed at the daemons before him, and stood from his throne when he felt her. Go to her, his body screamed, knowing there would be little time to succeed in his plan.

Persephone could see no sky or sun, nor feel the cool breeze on her cheeks. Like a gentle beckoning, she felt a whisper welcome her as it echoed in the distance, barely audible, but there in her mind. It was unmistakable. She was no longer home. The power surrounding her was warm, an energy that wrapped around her body as a mother would to a child. She shook her head to clear it. Feeling the powerful male behind her, she turned to face him.

"Hades? What have you done?"

The events of the battle with Hera were devastating. Lives were changed, and the innocence Persephone once held was shattered. Hades would never forgive himself for failing to protect the one he loved. Vowing it would never happen again, he made a decision that would change the world forever and change the love that he had developed with Persephone. There was still one last obstacle to be with her... Demeter.

Great historical story, terrible performance

So love this historical story it’s a great one… But having an AI read it was horrible. Spend the money and higher a professional reader. I will not listen to any more AI books. It’s awful.

Great love story.

Great story but the narration was had a lot to be desired. The voice was flat and names had several different pronunciations making it difficult to follow at times.

Not too shabby! Cliff hanger sucks cause I want to know how the upcoming battle ended. Persephone was annoying a bit in the beginning but I guess that’s a bit understandable. Overall, good retelling
