What if you were given only two choices in life: find some way to stand out or else fade away?

It began with a hallucination. A time loss. A mistake. A strange man reaching out to her. All part of a tourist trap, Maggie is sure, and she's lucky it wasn't worse. Yet something about her life changed that day, and she can't put her finger on what.

She forces herself to move on but can never shake the inexplicable emptiness she feels.

When the man from that hallucination appears months later, he turns Maggie's world on its head. A man she can't remember. A bleak future. An oppressive regime hell-bent on destroying individuality and enslaving the world.

Only Maggie can stop it, but the key to success lies in memories she no longer has....

I received this book free and I am voluntarily doing a review. Wow this dystopian romance is amazing. The author has a great imagination and the narrator has a great voice that just made the story come alive.

Wow! The narration enhanced the visualization of the story so much that I found myself empathizing with many of the characters. The voices engendered compassion, humor, fear, & intensity through the words seamlessly. The story line evoked a desire to crawl further into this future and join the fight to preserve individuality. The way the author wove scientific fact into explanations made the story line warily-realistic, more probable, and even more intriguing. The narration with variation in voices created a Movie in my Mind and fueled a need to revisit this fight for Mankind. Anxious to hear the next book!

I am insanely in love with this book. The characters were amazing. The story keeps you hanging on and begging for more. And that's not evening mentioning how completely captivating and gorgeous this cover is! I'm so in love with it and can't wait to read the rest of the series. One of the biggest thing I want to compliment is the fact that it didn't really over sexualize a certain relationship that was in this book. Do not get me wrong. Sex in books is fine. In some cases, it even enhances the story. But there are many books that make it so overbearing that it's hard to actually focus on the actual point of the story. This was not one of those cases. I enjoyed this story a lot. I could gush on and on about it all day, but I don't want to take too much of everybody's time. I fully encourage anybody who is into time travel and fantasy stories to give this book a try. I'm so glad I did. I can't wait to read the rest of this series!

Found the book very gripping and finished it in 2 days. Already have started reading the next book in the series. I enjoyed the overall plot and got invested in the characters right away. One of the issues I have with such books is having too many characters to keep track of and that is not an issue in this book at all. Each character has a purpose, narrator has done a great job in distinguishing between them as well. The character development throughout the book is good and you start caring for the cause of the team right away.

David's character arc is really well handled and his recovery is handled well at first. I felt later in the book he just recovered a bit too quickly. It is hard to know throughout the book who can and cannot be trusted completely and what is everyone hiding and why, which keeps you invested.

Gripping story, great narrator
