The short mysteries in this collection are all linked by their common feline hero, but they can stand alone. P. G. Nagle also writes science fiction, fantasy, and mystery under the name Patrice Greenwood and she was a finalist for both the Writers of the Future and the Theodore Sturgeon Awards.

Al Dano specializes in science fiction narration. Pet Noir probably constitutes his first whip-smart, feisty cat character, but he does remarkable work with each and every voice in Nagle's expansive literary universe.

Entertaining, fun read. Told from the cat’s point of view, it lends an entirely different take on the detective genre. I read books like this as a child... but this was decidedly an adult interpretation.
