The story of Peter Pan is all that you imagine it will be - and so much more. While narrating this delightful audiobook, I was struck by both how similar it is to the beloved stage musical (I've always wanted to play Peter, and this was my chance! - well, without the flying) and also by how much deeper the narrative goes - if you wish it to. It made me think about the joys and losses of growing up, the darker side of children ("gay and innocent and heartless"), the power and depth of parental love, and the secret kisses we all keep inside that only someone special can unlock. This is a terrific listen for families, as each age group will find something unique to ignite their hearts and minds - from the child who simply loves the story, to the teen who struggles with leaving innocence behind, to the parents who understand all too well what the Darling family must have gone through. You'll even understand Hook a little bit more. Peter Pan is a marvelous character, in a timeless story that will leave you with new discoveries every time you hear it.
